Volunteers are needed to mow the church lawn: Whether you use the church’s push, riding mower, weed eater, and blower, or use your own equipment once or twice this summer, your help will be greatly appreciated.
A sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board. Please consider your time
and effort as a gift to Redeemer Lutheran.
This Summer--Coffee & Conversation with the Pastor!
This summer we are trying something new during our Adult Education hour--an opportunity for fellowship and conversation Sunday mornings before worship. Rather than an organized class during these summer months, Pastor Adam will be hosting an open conversation on whatever church/bible/faith/theology topics or questions come up, a chance for us to talk about the things that matter to you and/or an opportunity to get to know one another a little better and pray for each other. So, please join Pastor Adam on most Sunday mornings this June, July, and early August at 9:00 am in the conference room (or elsewhere if enough people show up that we need a bigger space) for some conversation and fellowship. Bring your questions and feel free to also bring some breakfast snacks or other refreshments besides coffee to share (as you are so moved).
Starting Sunday June 4th.
June is Food Bank Month at Redeemer
June is Food Bank Month at Redeemer in which we collect food for our local Community Food Bank. The Food Bank supplies food to families who do not have ample resources to feed their family. The Food Bank currently supplies food to over 1000 Dubois County families throughout the month. This figure has doubled over the past year due to the increased prices at the grocery stores. Needless to say, with the increased number of patrons, the cupboards are bare at the Food Bank. Thrivent Financial has agreed to assist us with this project by supplying us with a $250 gift card to be used to purchase cans of food. Our goal is to match the Thrivent donation with 200-250 cans of fruits, vegetables and soups for a total of 4-5 hundred cans. This would assist the Food Bank in their ongoing effort to help those less fortunate. Cans of food are urgently needed at this time.
Mark Your Calendars for VBS 2023: July 10-13 at Redeemer
Join us for Vacation Bible School this summer in cooperation with St. Paul, St. John (Boone Township) and Christ Lutheran Churches from July 10-13. Redeemer will host VBS this year. Our VBS theme this summer is “It’s God, It’s Good.” VBS will be held at Redeemer from 5:30-8:10 pm July 10-13. Dinner is included in VBS. Registration information will be available soon. Volunteers for VBS are needed. We need group guides, kitchen help, registration help, decorating help, rotation help, additional volunteers with the Preschool group, and cleaning help, as well as food and snack donations. A sign-up sheet will be posted soon. If you have any questions, please see Pastor Adam. Redeemer will be responsible for providing one of our meals and we will need not only kitchen help for that night, but one or two Redeemer members familiar with what’s where in our kitchen to be a resource for St. Paul, St. John’s, and Christ volunteers on their days of serving dinner. More information will be coming soon. Join us for VBS 2023!
P.S. If you are a Thrivent Member and would be willing to use one of your Thrivent action teams for the year to help us get an inflatable for one of the nights of VBS, please see Pastor Adam as soon as possible. Thank you.

Christian Education
Middle & High School Youth Class Meets
the 2nd Sunday of Each Month
Redeemer’s Youth Christian Ed class is held on the second Sunday of each month
at 9:00 am in the Confirmation room. Please plan on attending this monthly study and discussion, focused on the intersection of life and faith. Hope to see you there.
Adult Class: Paul’s Letter to the Romans
The Apostle Paul wrote many of the books that make up the Christian New Testament. His longest, and arguably his most important, epistle is his letter to the Romans. It has been called a summary of Paul’s theology containing some of the New Testament’s most famous pass-ages of assurance. And Romans has been highly influential in efforts to reform the church. Martin Luther’s rediscovery of justification by faith happened as he was studying Paul’s letter to the Romans and John Wesley (the founder of the Methodist movement) found his heart “strangely warmed” while reading Luther’s commentary on Romans. You are invited to join the Adult Sunday School Class as we delve into this important letter and discover the many ways Romans relates to our faith today. The Adult Class meets at 8:45 am Sunday mornings. Come and explore our scriptures with us!
